From May 23 to June 1, the 7th Côte d’Ivoire International Agriculture and Animal Resources Exhibition, the most influential comprehensive agricultural exhibition in West Africa, was held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. China participated in the exhibition as the Guest of Honor. As a key representative of China’s agricultural engineering and technology sector, China Light Industry Nanning Design Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNDC) made its debut at the exhibition, fully presenting its engineering design achievements and industrial implementation practices in Africa, especially in Côte d’Ivoire.

On the first day of the exhibition, Mr. Zhang Xingwang, Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, visited the CNDC booth. Vice Minister Zhang listened to the briefing on the company’s business overview and the Abidjan Cocoa Processing Plant project, with a focus on the project’s technical processes, production efficiency and development plans. He spoke highly of the project’s construction achievements and provided guidance for CNDC’s future development in agricultural sectors such as deep cocoa processing and sugar manufacturing.

During the exhibition, through booth displays, technical presentations and business matchmaking sessions, CNDC held in-depth exchanges with the Ministry of Agriculture of Côte d’Ivoire, the Agricultural Enterprises Alliance, the delegation of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences and other parties, focusing on promoting the Integrated Solutions for the Whole Agricultural Products Processing Industry Chain. As a landmark achievement of agricultural cooperation between China and Côte d’Ivoire, the Abidjan Cocoa Processing Plant project has introduced advanced Chinese production technologies and management expertise, helping the local country transform from the “world’s largest cocoa producer” to a “cocoa processing and manufacturing power”, and providing a replicable model for agricultural industrialization in Côte d’Ivoire.

This exhibition has enhanced CNDC’s brand awareness and influence in the African market. Through in-depth connections with local institutions, the company’s team has better grasped the agricultural technology trends and market demands in Africa, laying a solid foundation for further expanding project markets in agricultural products processing sectors including coffee, cocoa, cassava, palm oil and fruit & vegetable processing.
