To ensure thorough safety management during the May Day holiday and effectively prevent and mitigate risks of various safety incidents, Ni Zhengqing, Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager of China Light Industry Nanning Design Engineering Co., Ltd, and Tang Chong, Deputy General Manager of the company, recently led separate teams to conduct pre-holiday on-site safety inspections at key projects.

Zhengqing Leads Inspection Team to Guigang Zhihuiyuanchuang Chlorine Dioxide Project

Ni Zhengqing and his delegation visited the project site to conduct on-site inspections of critical processes and high-risk areas, including work at heights, temporary electrical systems, edge and opening protection, hot work, and confined space operations. They inquired in detail about current bottlenecks and challenges in project progress, plans for subsequent construction, and the implementation of emergency response protocols.

Following the on-site inspection, Ni Zhengqing convened a special meeting to convey the spirit of the work safety conferences held by Poly Group, Poly Zhongqing, and China Haisum, and listened attentively to the project status report. He fully affirmed the achievements made by the project at this stage and, based on the actual conditions observed on-site, put forward four requirements for the subsequent construction work:

First, strictly control the risks of overlapping operations and build a solid safety barrier

Advance planning and coordinated deployment are essential. All safety protection measures must be refined, work plans optimized, and work zones reasonably demarcated to minimize overlapping operations, ensuring that work proceeds safely and in an orderly manner.

Second, strengthen holiday duty management to uphold the bottom line of work safety

Holiday work arrangements must be made in advance. The duty roster system must be strictly enforced, with clear delineation of responsibilities and detailed procedures for on-duty personnel. We must ensure that safety remains a priority during holidays and that duty personnel are always present, making every effort to safeguard construction safety during the holiday period.

Third, rigorously address and rectify potential hazards, and reinforce safety responsibilities for all personnel

We must adhere to immediate and strict rectification, strictly implement closed-loop management, and resolutely eliminate delays in rectification, overlooked issues, and perfunctory implementation. We must strictly enforce the work safety responsibility system for all personnel and thoroughly and meticulously carry out all aspects of on-site safety management.

Fourth, balance safety and progress to ensure efficient project delivery

We must scientifically optimize construction organization and, while ensuring safety, make every effort to advance project progress, guaranteeing that all established goals are met on schedule.

Tang Chong Leads a Team to Conduct On-Site Safety Inspection at the Enhu Road Supervision Project in Nanning

Tang Chong and his team went deep into the front lines of the construction site, conducting a comprehensive, “grid-style” safety hazard inspection focused on key areas and critical aspects such as gantry crane operations, edge protection, temporary electrical systems, steep slope management, and site fencing. Regarding the issues and weaknesses identified during the inspection, they pointed out deficiencies on the spot and provided specific rectification recommendations and guidance.

Regarding the next phase of the project, Tang Chong put forward three requirements:

First, conduct a comprehensive hazard investigation. Thorough safety inspections must be carried out across the entire construction site, ensuring full coverage from top to bottom and side to side, leaving no blind spots or overlooked areas.

Second, strictly adhere to safety red lines. Efforts must be coordinated to ensure work safety, engineering quality, and construction progress, promoting the orderly, stable, and efficient advancement of all tasks.

Third, strengthen emergency response readiness. Strictly implement the duty roster system, ensure responsibilities are clearly defined at every level, maintain uninterrupted communication around the clock, and thoroughly prepare for emergency response to ensure rapid and appropriate handling of any unexpected situations.
